Its call letters changed to WGBA in 1985 when it became a Fox affiliate. It switched affiliation to NBC in 1995 and Journal Communications bought the station in 2004. In April 2015 it became a member of the E.W. Scripps family. NBC26 broadcasts 22 hours of local newscasts weekly and airs iconic programming such as the Olympics, Sunday Night Football, Days of Our Lives and Saturday Night Live.
